Welcome to my website
My name is Rafal, and I'm originally from Poland. I was born in a small city called Rzeszów, where I spent 16 years of my life. In the summer of 2016, my family finally got a visa and after a long wait, I was finally able to come to the United States. In here, I was able to experience a new life, which included being in my first programming class back in Pocono Mountain East High school. I had a great teacher that made every class fascinating and even at the end even some magic trick to make us more amazed. After three years spent in the high school, I decided to continue my path in the field in higher education at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania.
At first, it felt more like a relearning old stuff with a spice of some new thing, but soon I realized that it is just the beginning of a long journey. From Java to C, to C++ slowly learning my way up to master most of the most used languages in the industry. From very hard and complicated classes to easier and more relaxed, I experienced it all. Once I even had in mind a dropping out during a hard time of COVID-19 isolation and online learning, but I stayed strong, and I'm proud of myself for doing that. If I gave up, I probably would be in the same place as I am right now.
Now, I am working on my internship at the company called Marathon Studios, and this is my first learning project. This project started as just raw HTML files without any CSS or any backend. Then I learned how to make custom CSS, how to implement JavaScript and other tools that make it look and work more efficiently. Now it is fully transformed into a Laravel framework which uses PHP language and it is so much easier to do everything in it. Throughout my internship, I'm learning a lot, and I'm glad I was able to receive that opportunity.
